Our Mission & Vision

Loving God and Loving People

College Heights’ mission is to reach the city, county, nation, and world by first loving God with all our heart, mind, and strength, and to love others through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Mission & Purpose

College Heights’ vision is to successfully reform institutional structures through preaching, teaching, prayer, worship, and kingdom building that produces revival, awakening, and spiritual reformation.

Our Beliefs

Seeking God and Joining God in His Work

For more details, visit GC2 Movement.

At College Heights, we adhere to the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message.

The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible was written by people divinely inspired and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man.

There is one God in three persons

There is one God in three persons: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Humanity

Humanity was created in the image of God. Male and female were created to be image bearers of God on this earth.

Sin

Sin created a barrier between God and humans. Sin is not doing the will of God. Sin replaces God with yourself.

Salvation

Salvation is made available through the life and death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus took the sin of the world upon himself when he died. And on the third day, he arose, showing he had power over death. If any person calls upon Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they will be saved. The only way to receive salvation is through trusting in Jesus’ work. You cannot earn it on your own.

Christ will return

Christ will return one day. A new heaven and earth will be installed.

While on this earth, God’s people are called to “take care of the least of these.” It is our Christian duty to serve and love all people, regardless of their background or circumstances.

“Thank you for connecting online with College Heights Baptist Church. Our hope is that you make plans to join us at one of our services this coming week! You can also watch our Sunday Morning Service on Facebook.

Our Pastor: James Fuller

Our Pastor: James Fuller

Pastor

James is an author, speaker, and preacher who delivers a message of hope and restoration. He was called by God at a young age to preach his word. Later in life, God renewed this call and at the age of 40, God showed James how the light of Jesus will shine and bring needed reformation and restoration. This involves a restoration of God’s authoritative word, prayer, and worship – it is a rebuilding of God’s house through Christ-centered worship, prayer, and preaching. James founded the podcast, The Ultimate Discovery, and has published several books including, Rebuild the Ruins, and Unveiling God’s Mysteries. He has a passion to see a national reformation and continues to attract people to his message through books, articles, and preaching.

James has an extensive education that includes years of theological study. His personal library contains volumes of historical, philosophical, and theological works. His formal education includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology and History and two graduate degrees in Counseling and Psychology. Currently he is pursing a Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

James has been married to Christie for 32 years and they have four children. Christie is a homeschool mom who is involved in classical Christian homeschooling and the ministry of the church. James and Christie’s oldest son, Isaac, lives in North Fort Worth and works full time in eCommerce. Crystal is a college student at UT Tyler majoring in English. The two younger children are Elijah who is ten and loves Legos, and Lily who is seven and enjoys art.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Our History

Our History

College Heights Baptist Church

Our church began in 1953 as a mission organized by four churches in Cleburne to reach the growing community in Northwest Cleburne. The first services were held at nearby Cooke Elementary School on August 2, 1953. On October 3, the church was officially organized, and the building of the first sanctuary began that afternoon. The new church was named College Heights because plans were in the works to house the new Hill College Cleburne Campus in this community (that never happened, but we are still College Heights anyway).

The first building was completed in 1954 and was quickly outgrown, so a second building was constructed in 1960. In 1968, an education building was completed. These buildings currently house the missions and ministries of College Heights.

College Heights has been impacting our community for 68 years, and we look forward to doing Kingdom of God work in this community for many years to come.
